Ankuram - Women and Child Development NGO Hyderabad
The philosophy of the organization is to address the issues of children, women and vulnerable communities from rights perspective. A group of young women activists who collectively engaged in women’s movement joined together and established ANKURAM as non-profitable and secular organization in 1994 under Andhra Pradesh Public Societies Registration (Telengana Area) Act 1350F.
An All Women Executive Committee governs ANKURAM and the General Body consists of sensitive and supportive men too. An Advisory Committee consisting of activists, experts in development and other professions guides the organisation.
